Accommodating!

Always so happy with my children’s care here! My eldest chipped a tooth and they got her in within an hour for an emergency visit. They accommodate and see both my young kids at the same time. Receptionist is very cheerful and helpful, for whole team is wonderful.

The BEST!

Amazing vibes!

My son loves Playhouse Dental and was even disappointed his next appointment wasn’t sooner.  He loves to see Maggie at the front desk who always checks us in with the warmest welcome and wishes for a good day. Such amazing vibes and phenomenal care.

Welcoming and positive environment!

We are so happy with our experience at Playhouse Dental. The staff is AMAZING!!! Everyone was incredibly comforting and kind and helped my little one feel at ease when she had to have a tooth extracted. I highly recommend Playhouse Dental for your kiddos! Playhouse is it!

Working in the dental field myself, I know how important it is to find a fantastic dentist. Playhouse is it! We took my daughter for her very first dental appointment, and Dr. Hill was fantastic. She had fun and it was an enjoyable experience for everybody.

Wow… from start to finish!

We had amazing experience with Dr. Hill and her team from booking all the way to walking out the door after the appointment! Everyone is incredibly friendly, the office is wonderful with toys and things to keep kids busy and everything is so well thought out. So glad we went to this office! We were stressed about our 15 month olds first appointment but it was an extremely enjoyable experience. And bonus Dr. Hill speaks Spanish!

Above and beyond!
My 7 year old is severely tongue tied and struggles with his gag reflex and high anxiety about the dentist and brushing his teeth in general. We have loved Dr Hill since she was in Oak Harbor and followed her to Anacortes to continue care.

My son’s dental assistant, Angie, was patient and kind and explained every step to him. She counted teeth as she brushed and came up with fun analogies about plaque and keeping teeth clean.

We have been to countless dentist appointments over the years and never have I been so impressed with how this team handled our specific needs.

HIGHLY recommend to anyone who’s kiddo struggles with the dentist experience.

So fun and such a breeze!

Had such a lovely experience with my 3 year old and 16 month old. They made our 3 year old’s first cleaning so fun and such a breeze. She already can’t wait for her next dentist visit! Highly recommend this dental office for your kiddos!

Mixed experience today

I would typically give this a 5 star – because I’ve had phenomenal experiences here for the last 1.5 years….until today. The front desk ladies were amazing as per usual, love their friendly hellos!

The assistant that saw us first, not so much. My son is already an anxious kid and gets that way when he gets in the chair and lays back. He was really excited to be there today but still got nervous. At first things were going great, until I said no to fluoride. Just a personal preference, but it didn’t seem good enough for her. She moved forward with using fluoride free toothpaste and at one point my son broke into tears and she kept asking what is bothering him and he kept saying the toothpaste. She then blamed it on it being fluoride free and no flavor. He didn’t say why he didn’t like the toothpaste. Then she said the only flavored toothpaste they have has fluoride in it. So I gave in because she was so adamant on finishing the cleaning when he was still visibly upset.

I truly believe it’s because he gagged as he usually does (normal reflex) and it scares him because of his past medical experiences with ENT and such. He had a hard time calming down and she told him that he is scaring the kids that are around and that it is not okay. That he needs to stop scaring them. Then told him that she will take him to the baby room because he’s being a baby. At that point I stepped in because:
1. My son is only 4. FOUR.
2. None of the other kids around us were even bothered by it. And
3. No one will be calling him a baby for having emotions.
I was ready to walk out because I was very upset, all while she kept back pedaling on why she said what she did.

The doctor then came over to us and took over and my son did much better with her. She was very kind and my son loved her. She made it fun. My son even let her get a few pictures of his teeth, which he didn’t do the last time we were there. Point of this is, I would give a 5 star, for almost all friendly staff. But if you can’t understand children (especially young) have emotions and sometimes get scared, then maybe this position isn’t for you.

VERY pleasant experience!

Excellent attention from all the Playhouse Dental staff from the reception to Dr. Hill.  She was so careful and took her time to explain to my child everything that was going to be done.  He left with a nice experience for his first restorative appointment at the dentist.  I highly recommend Playhouse Dental.

We take four kids there ranging in age from 20 months to 10 years old. They are all taken well care of by the staff at Playhouse Dental from the time we walk in to the time we leave.

Worth the drive!

100% worth making the drive. Just took my 14 month old little guy for his first visit. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming as are the staff! It made me wish I had a place like that I could have gone to as a child. I’m so happy to be able to take my little ones there now, so they can grow up with a better dental experience than I did!

My kids and I absolutely loved this office. They were extremely welcoming, and the staff was so kind and did so well talking to the kids about dental health. One of my kids tends to be pretty anxious about the dentist and she felt so at peace. The doctors were very informative and really great. We look forward to our future visits.

Lucky find!

We live on Friday Harbor and we don’t have much availability here on island for children specifically. My son needed a dentist and they got us in quickly and we had the most amazing experience! My son actually LOVES that we have to go back!  I was more nervous than him about it and now I am feeling so comfortable and confident. I was given all the information I needed and all my questions were answered. They are super understanding and I feel so lucky to have found this amazing place!!!!

I’ve heard great things about this office, but to experience it yourself is wonderful

As soon as I opened the door , a friendly “hello” chimed at us and the energy with whole team was pleasant. My son hasn’t had the best visits at other locations prior, as he suffered from anxiety with the visits but it was very nice to watch the team work to ease my son’s nerves during his visit. Thank you for a wonderful first time meeting you all and I look forward to continuing care. I definitely recommend this office to my mom friends with little ones 🙂

Cannot recommend enough!

Stacey and the entire Playhouse team did an outstanding job with my son when he had to be put under for dental work. He was treated with care and caution, and I was treated with such patience while getting the procedure scheduled and prepared for. From the animal hunt through the office to get him to the room to the congratulations card and stickers that arrived in the mail a few days later everything was top notch.

Such a wonderful experience!

It was my daughters first time at the dentist. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming. They took time out of their day to make my daughter smile! Dr. Hill was so kind and gentle. Successful surgery day!

Playhouse Dental was so amazing with my daughter and helping both of us through our new experience of having cavities taken care of. Stacey created a great relationship quickly where my daughter trusted her and felt safe. As a new mom I’ve never dealt with my child having anesthesia and after talking with Stacey, the dentist and anesthesiologist I was very confident in their abilities and after the procedure everyone was very supportive and attentive to both my daughter and I.  I highly recommend Playhouse Dental and will definitely be a client of theirs in the future for both my children.

Very grateful to have this place just up the street.

I’m really, truly impressed with Rosita, Dr Hill, and the rest of the staff we’ve met.
My son is 6, and had a routine cleaning this morning. We were met with friendly smiles when we arrived, and 5 minutes later, he was in the chair.
The open, colorful room is full of natural light and a pleasant vibe overall. It really lends to a positive experience, in my opinion.
And that’s what it’s all about right now… making the dentist a positive experience.

Stacey has been so amazing with the entire experience for dental surgery. As parents of an autistic child we were skeptical and worried. We wanted to make all excuses to not have this done but the experience was amazing and Stacey was with us from the beginning, she was always calling us to make sure that we were okay. Thank you my son was back to his normal self in 2hours.

I love this place.

My son who is 6 now has been going there since he was tiny. They accidentally skipped over me and they were so apologetic. They even gave me a 5 dollar coffee free because of the inconvenience.  Super nice staff.  Love the dentist… they know how to talk to children I highly recommend them!!
