Stacey

Stacey

Stacey looks forward to greeting each of you at the front door and helping with your needs. She is also our dental surgery coordinator who guides each family through the many steps of this big event.

Stacey has lived in Anacortes for over 35 years and raised her two boys here. She loves Anacortes and enjoys all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Her many years as a parent, nanny, and Assistant Director of a preschool have made her passionate about the ethical treatment of children (and animals)!

When not behind the Playhouse Dental front desk, you will find Stacey out in beautiful forests with her truffle dog Heidi, finding these savory treasures for local chefs.

Juliea

Juliea

This former navy veteran is one of those friendly voices on the phone who can make all appointment magic happen! Juliea is the mother of 3 adult children and she loves the bustle and joyful noise of children in our “Playhouse”.

Juliea creates an environment of beauty wherever she goes… At her desk, in her garden, doing crafts (sewing, painting, interior decorating). She loves to cook and spend time with her family.

Austin

Austin

This tall, cool guy joined us on Halloween 2022, and has made our financial systems understandable to both team and families! While he grew up in Burlington, his family has deep roots in Texas (hence the name Austin).

The gifts he brings to work each day include a commitment to “playing detective” as well as clear communication skills. He is proud to contribute to a new generation with less/no dental anxiety, and it makes his heart sing to see our excellent dental assistants work with the kids!

Speaking of singing…. Austin loves to take to the stage and sing! Or speak, or educate… He can also be found playing tabletop games like Dungeons and Dragons or cooking Asian cuisine with his family.

Maria

Maria

You can find this organizational wizard in the center of our practice… the sterilization room is where she ensures that everyone has what they need! Her quiet mastery of our inventory hints that she might have been a quartermaster in another life. Actually her background is with preschoolers, and she revels in the funny stories that kids come up with.

Maria lives on Whidbey Island and loves to hang out with her family when she isn’t painting or reading. She is dreaming of international travel in her future.

Maggie

Maggie

Maggie started at Playhouse Dental as a mom in our practice. After volunteering in the Anacortes School District and coaching youth basketball for many years, she was ready to come back to the workforce and we scooped her up. Maggie’s bright energy is incredible! You can currently find her at the front desk answering calls and making everyone feel welcome.

Inspired by her twin boys, Maggie loves everything about kids! She especially enjoys being able to watch them learn and grow.

When not at Playhouse, Maggie and her family are most often outdoors. They love to travel, hike and kayak!

Lizette

Lizette

Lizette was born and raised in Anacortes and absolutely loves living in the Skagit Valley! She is the middle child of three in a Mexican American family and speaks Spanish at home and considers it a blessing to be able to communicate in both languages.

Lizette has always known that she wanted to work in the dental field ; she loved her early dental visits and was born with a bottom tooth... so maybe it was a sign!

There’s never a dull moment during the work day, and Lizette brings her clinical experience to our front desk team, as they work to create relationships with both the child(ren) and with the parents. Children make her laugh with how they express themselves and look at the world.

Audrey

Audrey

Audrey, our newest hire, was worth waiting for. As an experienced restorative hygienist, she values helping a child have a positive dental experience especially during the toughest types of dentistry. Being able to assist and guide children through their treatment appointments and the reward of seeing them succeed, the sense of pride and accomplishment they exude is immeasurable.

Born in California, Audrey moved around alot as her dad was in the USAF, in fact the majority of the men in her family have served in the armed forces. Eventually they settled in WA and her roots in the Pacific NW have grown deep.

Her grandchildren keep the twinkle in her eye, and she has a host of critters including three dogs and two cats. If that weren’t enough you can find her out in the garden or working on a home project.

Esmeralda

Esmeralda

Born and raised in a bilingual home in Washington, Esmeralda thrives in the lushness of our green and growing community. You will find her as part of our clinical team, quietly bonding with children as she helps them be successful as she supports their progress over multiple appointments.

Weekends may find Esmeralda attending concerts, working a photo booth, cooking or spending time outdoors with family, friends, and her dog.

Madysen

Madysen

Madysen has had a “taste for dentistry” since she chomped on her dentist’s thumb as a small child! She grew up in Skagit Valley and was inspired by her sister to explore dental assisting.

She enjoys being able to teach children everyday about the importance of oral health and their ability to “take charge” of their smile. Maddy finds that working as a team and having fun is key!

Outside of work you may find Maddy surrounded by her three cats: Swiper, Gracie an Midnight; or walking dogs for her mom. Alternatively, she enjoys connecting with nature while camping with family and friends.

Michelle

Michelle

This dynamo was raised in Sedro Woolley and attended a technical college in Everett WA, for dental assisting. Michelle has worked her magic in both pediatric and oral surgery practices for many years. Her passion is working with the kids and is happy to be back at Playhouse Dental helping each child be successful… every time!

Michelle is the sparkle in a home full of male energy. Married to a commercial fisherman, they are blessed with two sons and two “Big Boy” cats (Charlie is a polydactyl and Huxley is a Maine Coon). You can find her family playing games, camping, boating, shooting, biking, watching movies and much much more.

'Chelle loves a good “Girls’ Day” with friends and her very close family. They may be baking, shopping, doing makeup, nails or adding to her purse collection!

Adiana

Adiana

As the youngest member of the Playhouse team, Adiana brings a playful energy to the clinic. Her favorite thing about working with children is their giggles! She loves introducing kids to the “big chair” as she helps transform nervous children into fans of Playhouse Dental.

From a close-knit family in Mt. Vernon, Adiana has two older brothers, who have given her resilience and a nephew, with whom she loves to create art, or burn off energy at the park.

Angela

Angela

From sunny California, Angie moved to Washington when her sister joined the navy. She comes from a family of “growers” and is thrilled with the abundance of nature and greenery found locally.

You will find Angie as part of our clinical team, connecting with the children about their interests, while taking pride in ensuring that kids are learning how to take care of their teeth.

Angie loves to cuddle her cat Nai, which means “sweet” in Japanese. On the weekends, she can often be found singing on a karaoke stage, when she isn’t exploring the many scenic vistas and outdoor activities in her new home state.

Emily

Emily

New to the dental field, Emily is a wonderful listener, who enjoys discovering what children have to share. She beams when they confide that “they don’t hate the dentist anymore.” This is consistent with her childhood award as a “Champion of Change”, received at age 11 and a visit to the White House.

Outside of working hours, you may find Emily taking walks, enjoying local night life or planning her next adventure.

Kiana

Kiana

Kiana has been a dental assistant for two years at Playhouse Dental. She has fallen in love with this career, as she has found watching kids smile, and listening to their stories, is a good reminder about how truly great life is.

She is now implementing the skills she’s learned at work in her new role as a mother! In her spare time, she spends time with her dog, friends and family in Anacortes. Kiana plans on traveling when life settles down a bit.
